Werkstätte Carl Auböck is a multigenerational Viennese design workshop. Karl Heinrich Auböck, also known as Carl Auböck I (1872–1925), established the family metal workshop and became known for finely crafted bronze objects. Carl Auböck II (1900–1957) continued the workshop and introduced modernist ideas informed by his studies at the Bauhaus, while Carl Auböck III (1924–1993), an architect and industrial designer, expanded its design vocabulary and international orientation. Across these generations, the workshop developed a distinctive body of functional objects characterized by precise craftsmanship, inventive use of materials and understated wit.

Un set di due piccole forchette con custodia in pelle, disegnato da Carl Auböck e realizzato dalla Werkstätte Carl Auböck, Vienna. Ideato negli anni '30, questo modello è uno dei primi progetti di Auböck; pensiamo che questo set sia stato prodotto negli anni '50. Nate come reggi-pannocchie – un'idea davvero pratica –, queste piccole forchette si possono usare a tavola in tanti modi, per esempio per servire frutta, formaggio e altri stuzzichini. Le forchette sono in ottone massiccio con finitura nichelata e manici in corno di mucca. Il set è custodito nel suo astuccio originale in pelle nera cucita a sellaio.
