Werkstätte Carl Auböck is a multigenerational Viennese design workshop. Karl Heinrich Auböck, also known as Carl Auböck I (1872–1925), established the family metal workshop and became known for finely crafted bronze objects. Carl Auböck II (1900–1957) continued the workshop and introduced modernist ideas informed by his studies at the Bauhaus, while Carl Auböck III (1924–1993), an architect and industrial designer, expanded its design vocabulary and international orientation. Across these generations, the workshop developed a distinctive body of functional objects characterized by precise craftsmanship, inventive use of materials and understated wit.

A Midcentury combination corkscrew, bottle opener, and paperweight dating from the 1950s. Shaped like a large key, it was designed by Carl Auböck and crafted by his workshop in Vienna, Austria. This vintage piece is made of solid brass, showing a nice patina. It's a classic example of Auböck's modernist style and is in good condition.
