Werkstätte Carl Auböck is a multigenerational Viennese design workshop. Karl Heinrich Auböck, also known as Carl Auböck I (1872–1925), established the family metal workshop and became known for finely crafted bronze objects. Carl Auböck II (1900–1957) continued the workshop and introduced modernist ideas informed by his studies at the Bauhaus, while Carl Auböck III (1924–1993), an architect and industrial designer, expanded its design vocabulary and international orientation. Across these generations, the workshop developed a distinctive body of functional objects characterized by precise craftsmanship, inventive use of materials and understated wit.

It consists of a round brass bowl with a polished exterior and a patinated interior, featuring an upright decorative polished brass hand. Designed for the storage of various items, in particular jewelry such as necklaces, earrings, rings, and other accessories. Stamped and marked on the bottom and the hand.
