A beautiful Modernist Midcentury desk, table, or side lamp from the 1950s. Designed by Julius Theodor Kalmar and manufactured by J.T. Kalmar Vienna, Austria. This lamp is a version of the model “Stilfix” (No. 1257) or the model “Style” (No. 1213). This charming piece features a swivel lampshade in a strong yellow (perhaps more lemon yellow than egg-yolk yellow, as it may appear in the photos), mounted on a beautifully crafted joint, making it fully adjustable in all directions. The base is made of blackened cast iron with an integrated switch, while the lamp’s neck is polished brass with an attractive woven plastic string handle. The lamp remains in good, original, unrestored condition with a lovely patina throughout, and the shade still retains its original paint. Currently wired for European standards (E27), it will be delivered fully rewired to meet the electrical standards of your country (e.g., E26 for the USA, E27 for Europe, etc.).
